Tyran Hill
Network Officer
Tyran Hill joined Camber in July 2024 as a Network Officer. His role is to advance the implementation of Camber Foundation’s philanthropic interests through relationship-building and grantmaking. He works closely with current and potential grantees to maximize funding impact, discover new opportunities, and understand how Camber can best serve the region.
With his prior experience and lifelong passion, Tyran came to Camber with a robust knowledge of the nonprofit landscape of Eastern North Carolina. Most recently, he served as director of community investment with the North Carolina Community Foundation, where he oversaw the teams and programs that help students and nonprofits access philanthropic resources. Prior, he worked with the North Carolina Community Development Initiative and the North Carolina Housing Coalition.
Tyran’s academic achievements are a testament to his commitment to the field of social work and community leadership. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from North Carolina A&T State University, a master’s degree in social administration from Case Western Reserve University, and a doctorate in strategic leadership from Regent University. He also earned a Community Development Academy certificate from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Tyran’s personal connection to North Carolina is as strong as his professional one. He was born and raised in Lexington, North Carolina, and now resides in Wilmington with his wife, Tiffany. He finds joy in driving through the state’s small towns and enthusiastically supporting the Kansas City Chiefs during the NFL season.
