Grants

Our grantmaking approach is grounded in the belief that Eastern North Carolina’s communities are brimming with ideas, creativity, and know-how.

We aim to bolster these existing community assets by investing the Foundation’s philanthropic resources through grants to nonprofits serving the region.

We began grantmaking in 2023, focusing our funding on nonprofits supporting health and wellness, education, and economic development.

Within those focus areas, we have identified the funding priorities of access to healthcare, mental health services and programs, workforce development, entrepreneurship, youth development programming, digital opportunity, and capacity building for nonprofits and nonprofit leaders.
